QHSE Coordinator

Stonehouse – Permanent – Full-time – Salary DOE

An established engineering firm in Gloucestershire is looking to recruit a QHSE Coordinator who can play a key role in supporting the QHSE Manager by coordinating and administering key quality, health, safety and environmental systems.


The Role:

·       Assist in maintaining and updating the QMS (ISO 9001) documentation, records, and internal processes

·       Support preparation for internal and external audits, track findings, CAPA, and non-conformance workflows

·       Coordinate routine H&S inspections, fire and emergency drills, COSHH assessments, and PPE monitoring

·       Update records on lifting and inspection equipment per regulatory requirements

·       Monitor QHSE KPIs and prepare reports for leadership and relevant external bodies

·       Support QHSE team meetings, record action items, track lessons learned, and assist with communications

·       Help deliver QHSE induction and training sessions; maintain training logs and schedules

·       Provide administrative assistance to support third-party audits (ISO, regulators, insurers)

·       Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across QHSE processes

·       Perform other related tasks as required, adapting to business need or urgency


The Person:

·       Understanding of ISO 9001:2015, with experience in coordinating documentation and audit requirements

·       Previous experience coordinating audits (internal or external) within manufacturing or engineering settings

·       Good working knowledge of H&S system management, risk assessments, incident handling, COSHH, PPE, emergency plans

·       Excellent organisational and attention-to-detail skills; capable of maintaining multiple QMS elements concurrently

·       Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with document control systems

·       Effective communicator with the ability to interact across functions and with external stakeholders

·       A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a willingness to learn and grow in QHSE expertise

·       Team-oriented, reliable, and able to take initiative with appropriate guidance
