Machine Shop Supervisor


Permanent – Full-Time – Double Days - Monday-Friday - £40,500 + Shift Allowance

The Role:

·        Oversee daily team operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and align with company goals.

·        Foster a positive team culture by promoting strong work ethic and professional conduct.

·        Work collaboratively across departments to identify and resolve operational challenges, maintaining high performance and quality standards.

·        Develop and support team members, enhancing overall capability and long-term workforce strength.

·        Seek individuals who demonstrate reliability, professionalism, adaptability, and a strong commitment to their role.

·        Take ownership of operational performance within your area, ensuring a strong focus on safety, quality, efficiency, cost control, and team management.

·        Continuously refine and improve production workflows to optimise output in line with key performance objectives.

·        Monitor and report on production performance metrics regularly.

·        Uphold strict compliance with procedural guidelines, particularly in relation to workplace safety and quality assurance.

·        Ensure effective use of internal systems to manage and maintain accurate production data.

·        Maintain high standards of workplace organisation and cleanliness, supporting a safe and efficient environment.

·        Collaborate with different departments to enhance overall operational effectiveness.

·        Contribute to internal and external audit processes as required.

·        Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the business.


The Person:

·        Production supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

·        Proven ability prioritising to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment

·        Understanding of CNC Lathes and Milling centres.

·        Strong computer skills, experience utilising ERP System

·        Strong communication and people skills
